What have I done!

Well, that's it, I'm officially a student as of today! I'm now suffering from a bit of a case of "what the hell have I done" -itis, but I'm sure it will pass!

I'm doing quite well at keeping my head above water for the moment, I'm well ahead in my revision already so I've got some breathing space, and I've got my first bona fide tutorial on Tuesday...

Wish me luck!

  1. Hi there, I too have just embarked an OU course, mine being English Literature and Language, having attempted to apply several times I took the bull by the horns and did it this year!

I am a stay at home mum to 3 children, thinking that I would have loads of lovely time on my hands to study, my children got struck down my the pox... which has meant for the last 3 weeks I have been running on autopilot as I have had very little sleep! Which inturn has meant I haven't been as organised as I would have hoped.

I too got the course materials through the post in December, got them out looked at them in awe then tidied them away back into the box that they arrived and there they sat till a couple of days before my tutor rang me!

I read Faustus from cover to cover in one evening and suddenly remembered why I love literature so much, being transported back to my a level days. I have read the Cleopatra texts but yet to watch the dvd, which is on the agenda for tomorrow night.

Today I sorted out my folder, put all the stationary that was purchased at the weekend into a rather fetching pink polka dot pencil case and started writing notes.

I am really glad someone is going through the trials and tribulations that I am!

    Good Luck
